Here comes gossip I have saved on a diskette (all of the gossip I share in this topic with you is from that diskette):
A little gossip to you girls, I hope you will like it:
December 13 2004 issue
[Extract form a press junket interview with Barbara Streisand, Blyth Danner, Ben Stiller and Dustin Hoffman, promoting Meet The Fockers]
STREISAND: You know I was never intimidated by anyone. Why is that?
DANNER: You have good self-esteem. You're Barbra Streisand, for God's sake.
STREISAND: Actually, yes, I was intimidated by one person. I sang at a fund raiser once with Sidney Poitier, Harry Belafonte and Marlon Brando, and I did it basically to meet Brando, who was my idol from age 13. So I'm peeking from one side of the stage to try and get a glimpse of him when I feel someone kissing my back. I turn around, and it was Marlon. I said, "Oh, no! You're ruining my fantasy. This is so real."
INTERVIEWER: AND CREEPY.
STREISAND: I also got scared when I met ? well, I wasn't scared, but I guess I was very attracted to Kevin Costner. I wanted him to play Prince of Tides.
STILLER: You kind of have a type there.
INTERVIEWER: YEAH. GOYIM.
STILLER: Oh no, not at all. Jim Brolin looks very Jewish in person. He's much shorter than you think.
STREISAND: Kevin was amazing because I told him, "I'm a little nervous." And he just took me in his arms and held me.
STILLER: I think he does that to a lot of women, actually.
STREISAND: Well, it worked. And then he held my hand for the whole time I talked to him. Four hours.
HOFFMAN: I'm sure he tried to move his hand to other places.
STREISAND: He said he would love to do Prince of Tides but he was making Dances with Wolves. And then I presented him with the Oscar for that.
STILLER: I don't have any stories that end with me saying "And I presented him with the Oscar for that."

KEVIN, KERI, TICK OFF CHRISTINE
Kevin Costner's fiancee Christine Baumgartner was livid when she learned her man is spending time off camera with his Upside of Anger co-star, Keri Russell, 28. Kev claimed he took her for drinks to "give some fatherly advice." Christine's response: "Cut it out, Big Daddy!"
PREDICTION: Christine's jealousy puts a big crimp in this relationship; Kevin has second thoughts about marriage.

COSTNER BEHIND DIRECTOR FIRING
Director TED GRIFFIN was fired from his new movie by WARNER BROS after clashing with star KEVIN COSTNER, according to insiders.
The OSCAR-winning star, who is shooting a 'sort-of-sequel' to the 1969 movie THE GRADUATE with JENNIFER ANISTON, was "constantly criticising" the first-time film-maker - culminating in him being fired, according to gossip site FLY ON THE WALL.
A source says, "It's totally Costner's fault, not Jennifer's.
"He was constantly in Ted's face about what he was doing wrong, criticising him repeatedly about his setups in front of PAULA (WEINSTEIN, one of the film's producers).
"He said several times loudly to anyone who would listen, 'This movie will take a year to shoot if you don't get rid of Ted.'
"It was more and more difficult for Ted to maintain any kind of respect from his crew with Costner constantly bitching at him around the clock.
"Finally, Ted asked Costner rather firmly, but not loudly, to return to his trailer. Costner screamed, 'I will not. Not until you change the lighting set-up like I told you."
Costner's dominant approach on set reportedly riled co-star SHIRLEY MacLAINE who commented to fellow actress MENA SUVARI, "There once was a time when actors respected their director."
To which Costner retorted to MacLaine, "You keep out of this."
Meanwhile Aniston was apparently "very sweet" to Griffin while he was director, but preferred to remain in her trailer to rehearse her lines when not required on set.

IF IT EVER HAPPENS AGAIN...
Also, when faced with the reality, oftentimes betrayed spouses draw another line in the sand, rather than stand their ground. I remember reading about Cindy Silva (Kevin Costner's ex-wife) who had told him early in their relationship that if he ever cheated, she wouldn't stay with him. Granted, financial reasons weren't a factor either way in their case, but I still admire her resolve, as hard as it must've been with 3 children by him, that she would not take him back, even though he showed remorse and tried to work on the marriage of 16 years. Any thoughts?
(That 'I'-person is not me)

On to No Way Out. Everybody remembers the scene in the back of the limo with Sean Young...
That scene was interesting. I felt like I wasn't acting well in that scene because it wasn't done in cuts ? it was shot all at once. I started kissing Sean, started undressing her, and essentially ****** her all in one take. Usually these love scenes are made in cuts so that your hands can be seen getting the clothes undone. So there is a certain kind of clumsiness to the scene that would really occur in the back of a limo. I was a little uncomfortable with that ? suddenly, as an actor, I wasn't acting well and worrying about how clumsy I looked. The minute I did that I suddenly said, "The driver's watching me." So in the middle of making love to her I stopped and looked up to the camera and went, "Hey, Bob." So they went and shot a driver and it completed that scene. It wasn't in the script ? that came from not acting well at first.

Filming the movie ?For Love of the Game? at Yankee Stadium in November, Costner was so excited, he made the mistake that young pro pitchers often make on spring training's opening day:
He felt good so he threw too many pitches and wound up with a sore right arm. He was in so much pain during the making of the movie he shook hands left-handed and was on his knees in tears in the Yankees' trainer's room.
"He was a hurting puppy," Yankees trainer Gene Monahan says. "His biceps, triceps and rotator cuff. His muscles were fatigued to the max."
Costner says Monahan was a savior. Costner was at the ballpark some days from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. He spent four hours a day in the trainer's room, getting ice, heat, whirlpools, ultrasounds and electro-muscle stimulation.
And, like Yankees greats, Costner got a chance to win over hard-to-please New York baseball fans, who rode him verbally during the filming. On the 15th day, one fan made off-color remarks. Costner went over to the third-base stands and set the guy in his place.
They argued. "I don't usually snap, but that day I did," Costner says.
The next batter hit a sky-high popup toward those same fans. Costner gave chase and made a behind-the-back catch. That's drama, he thought: "If I miss, they crucify me."
Instead, he won them over, and they cheered wildly. The scene isn't in the movie, but it is in Costner's heart, tucked away with a lifetime of baseball memories.

Mark: She became Mrs. Kevin Costner in a lavish Aspen ceremony last month. Now, Christine Costner's telling me all about it - from the ring, to the dress, to the honeymoon. Kevin's blushing bride is coming to you straight from Stage 28.
Mark to Christine: I want to know everything about the honeymoon. Fun?
Christine: Our honeymoon was fun. We had a great time. It was three weeks. We went to Italy and Scotland and kind of wound up at the Caribean and - just watching sunsets.
Mark: And they ended each day at the spa. As for what you didn't know about their Aspen I-do's... well let's just say the mountaintop and the canoe ride left a special memento on Christine's expensive Monique Lhuillier gown.
Mark to Christine: Did it get muddy? Is it ruined? Is it ruined?
Christine: No, it's not ruined. I mean, I love it with the mud on there.
Mark to Christine: If you pull it up is the mud still there?
Christine: Yeah. Yeah, it's not cleaned yet, but -
Mark to Christine: It's good mud.
Christine: (nodding) It's good mud.
Mark: That good mud also nearly made Kevin late for one of the pre-wedding events...
Christine: It was raining. It was snowing. Kevin was out on the tractor. He was on the tractor up until - I was ready to go to our first dinner, our "Cowboy Night", and I'm like "Get off the tractor! You've got to go shower!" So he did.
Mark: How sexy is that? Your man on a tractor.
Christine: He knows I like that...
Mark: Of course, we all know Christine herself almost didn't make it to the alter, when her dress got caught on the aisle...
Christine: Our pathway up was made by our good friends in Aspen, and, um, when I walked on it, kind of for rehearsal, I thought "I'm going to snag on this", and everyone said "No, it's been done a hundred times," and I said "Okay," and so I got out and first step I just (bends her head backward) I just went back, so... My dad was really cool, he was really practical, he just kind of bundled up my [couldn't catch the word, but I think she was refering to her train] and he's just - like - he goes - "I'll take care of it" and I was just - like -(sigh of relief).
Mark: Now, just one month after her nuptuals, Mrs. Costner is putting her energy into her own line of chique bags. [Name of celebrity I couldn't catch] and Hillary Duff are among the celebs who own the purses which range in price from $100 to $650 and are available at select stores and at catbagcouture.com.
(Christine is seen stroking the fur on one of her Catbags...)
Mark to Christine: I'm sorry - I couldn't see - the ring was bouncing in my eyes - the reflection - sorry - that's amazing - can I? Can I just?
(Christine gives him her hand...)
Mark: AHHHHHH!!!
Christine: Can you see it from there?
Mark: Christine named each bag after close friends and family. One's named after Kevin's daughter - "LilyAnnie".
Mark to Christine: Okay, you've got all this going on, I know this is probably a little baby to you, but do you think you'll - you guys will want to start a family?
Christine: (looks away) Oh! Oh, um! Um, ah! (laughs and looks away in the other direction).
Christine:At some point, yeah.
Mark: Christine has been so involved in the launch of her Catbags that she was even doing business on her honeymoon. Now she told me Kevin didn't mind, but ?

COSTNER'S NEWLYWED SPAT!
November 11, 2004
Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner just had their first spat as man and wife--on their Roman honeymoon! After a solo shopping spree in The Eternal City, Christine returned to their hotel with bags full of designer dresses--and when Kevin realized she'd spent several thousands he FREAKED! "Do you know how much money our wedding just cost?!" he thundered, ordering Christine to return everything! She was shattered, but stood her ground, telling hubby she'd bought them to look good on his arm--and stormed off. Kevin had a change of heart, ran after his beautiful bride and apologized--telling her OF COURSE she could keep the new dresses!

I just wanted to comment about those who accuse Kevin of getting that guy fired on the movie with Jennifer Anniston. There was a long article about that in some newspaper and Kevin WAS NOT the one responsible for the firing. It was up to Steven Soderburgh and the studio. Kevin hadn't even started his part yet. He wasn't even around when that happened. Go to IMDB and click on Rumor Has It or whatever that movie is called and you can read for yourself. I don't know why so many are so quick to criticise our Kevin. It's not fair. Just wanted to set the record straight. Good Sunday Ladies!!!!
